To become a believer
in Christ...

Hear
Believe
Repent
Confess
Be Baptized

Once you have recognized your sins and your need for a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, pray this prayer in faith: Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

CONFESS

Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in Heaven. Matthew 10:32

But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:33

That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Romans 10:10

BE BAPTIZED

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

...and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:21

Now, if you have made the decision to repent by turning away from your sins and turning to God and His way, prayed the above prayer (or a similar one), believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord (that means he is God who came in the flesh, and He is your God, your Master, you have decided you will follow him from now on), that God raised Jesus from the dead, then you are a SAVED CHRISTIAN BELIEVER! Welcome to God’s family! Now, from this day forward, live your life like you believe that He is watching you, and that you believe He is everything that you said He is today. Let the change in your life testify to the truth of your heartfelt prayer, made today.

To grow closer to Him, the Bible tells us to follow up on our commitment.

  • Get baptized as commanded by Christ.
  • Tell someone else about your new faith in Christ.
  • Spend time with God each day. It does not have to be a long period of time. Just develop the daily habit of praying to Him and reading His Word. Ask God to increase your faith and your understanding of the Bible.
  • Fellowship with us where you can worship God, continue to grow in Him and get connected with other believers.

HEAR

It is written in the prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from Him comes to me. John 6:45

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? Romans 10:14

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the work of Christ. Romans 10:17

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Revelation 1:3

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James 1:22

BELIEVE

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6

You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. James 2:24

Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Mark 16:16

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24

Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent. John 6:29

I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.” John 8:24

They replied, believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household. Acts 16:31

REPENT

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. II Corinthians 7:10

I tell you that in the same way there is more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. Luke 15:7

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. Acts 3:19

First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds. Acts 26:20

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death. 2 Corinthians 7:10
